1. Laser vaporization cutting
Using a high-energy-density laser beam to heat the workpiece, the temperature rises rapidly, reaches the boiling point of the material in a very short time, and the material begins to vaporize and form vapor. These vapors are ejected at a high speed, and cuts are formed in the material while the vapor is ejected. The heat of vaporization of materials is generally large, so laser vaporization cuts require a great deal of power and power density.

2. Laser melting and cutting

Laser fusion cutting does not require complete vaporization of the metal. The energy required is only 1/10 of the vaporization cut.
